We are looking for a 3D Printing Materials Tester M/F (fulltime)

Who are we?
MCPP Netherlands BV (A Group Company of MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL) located in Helmond develops, produces, and sells filaments for the purpose of 3D-printing. Thereby we serve all possible industrial markets and home-users which make use of the FDM 3D-print technology. On the other hand we also focus worldwide on the development and marketing of slush compounds for the automotive industry, in particular car interior parts for customers like Audi, VW, and Mercedes. Mid 2020 a completely new Technology Centre will be opened in Helmond where the R&D-departments of both slush and 3D-printing will be located.

What do you tell your friends when they ask you what you are doing?
I am verifying and testing the 3D-print filaments that are developed by MCPP. With this, I am supporting customers and I am also contributing to achieving the quality and customer satisfaction goals of MCPP.

What will you be doing?
This position will mainly focus on 3D-printing. You will be part of the R&D-team of MCPP Netherlands BV and you are going to carry out print tests on our filament independently, on both existing materials as well as new interesting materials. You will be analysing these tests and will take care of writing reports explaining the results and drawing a conclusion from it. If customers have questions, issues with print settings, or the product itself you will assist them. You will try to find the best print settings for specific filaments. You also assist in quality control within the production process and are responsible for the maintenance of the printlab and the 3D-printers.

Who are you?
You are someone who likes to acquire knowledge and has completed a technical or scientific education at a minimum level of MBO. You already have experience at 3D-printing and using 3D-software. You master the English language very well, both in speech and writing. You have a sense of technology and are able to understand and fix 3D-printed related issues. You have to be able to work independently, and in a team, and being able to think (along) analytically. Finally, you have a hands-on mentality and like to tackle all kind of situations.
